Laing Rikkers, Chairwoman. Ms. Rikkers has served as Director and Co-founder of ProSomnus Sleep Technologies since 2016, including serving as Chairman from 2016 to 2018 and 2019 to 2021, and Executive Chairman January 2022 to October 2023. Ms. Rikkers has served as Managing Director of HealthpointCapital LLC, a private equity firm and manager of the principal stockholders of ProSomnus, since 2004 and Managing Director of HealthpointCapital Management LLC from 2018 to 2022. Ms. Rikkers served as director of MicroDental Laboratories and BioHorizons Inc., a joint venture with Henry Schein Inc., and as a board observer for multiple growth stage, dental and healthcare companies. She received her BA from Harvard University and her MA degree from Teachers College, Columbia University.

Len Liptak, BA, MBA, PLD, Corporate Director, Founder & CEO. Len Liptak is the Chief Executive Officer and Founder of ProSomnus Sleep Technologies, a leading developer and manufacturer of precision, connected medical devices for the treatment of Obstructive Sleep Apnea. As a healthcare entrepreneur and executive leader, he has led the company’s growth across financing, product innovation, regulatory advancement, and commercialization, helping position ProSomnus at the forefront of modern sleep medicine. Prior to founding ProSomnus, Mr. Liptak held senior leadership roles at global healthcare companies including Stryker and 3M, where he developed deep expertise in medical device innovation, commercialization, and market development. He holds degrees from Brown University, the University of Minnesota, and Harvard Business School, as well as a continuing education credential in data science from Johns Hopkins University. Mr. Liptak is a co-inventor on 17 patents, a co-author of multiple scientific publications—including four peer reviewed articles in leading medical journals—as well as numerous scientific abstracts and clinical communications and has contributed to the development of more than 10 medical devices that have received FDA 510(k) clearance.

Len HedgeDirector and member of the Compensation and Nomination and Corporate Governance Committees. Mr. Hedge has served as a member of the Board of Directors of Convergent Dental, a privately owned dental equipment and technology company, since 2013, and as a member of the board of directors of ProSomnus Sleep Technologies since 2016. He formerly served as a director at MicroDental Laboratories, OrthoAccel, a privately owned dental device company, and Six Month Smiles, a private company providing dental aligners and braces. Prior to his retirement, Mr. Hedge served as Senior Vice President of Business Operations at Align Technology Inc. from 2007 to 2013. Mr. Hedge focused on the design and implementation of core business processes and cross-functional collaboration to support Align’s long-term goals and strategic initiatives. He served as Vice President of Operations at Align from 2002 to 2007 and also served as its Vice President of Manufacturing … from 1999 to 2002 and helped create Align’s world-class mass customized manufacturing technology and processes. He served as Vice President of Operations for Plynetics Express Corporation, a leading provider of product development and engineering services, from 1996 to 1998. From 1991 to 1996, he led the accelerated product development initiative at Beckman Instruments Diagnostic Systems Group as Manager for Prototype Manufacturing and Process Development. Prior to Beckman, Mr. Hedge led mechanical fabrication operations for 13 years at General Dynamics in Pomona California. Mr. Hedge received his BS from La Verne University.

Heather Rider, Director, Chairman of the Compensation Committee and member of the Nomination and Corporate Governance Committee. Ms. Rider has served on the board of directors of Intricon Corporation (Nasdaq: IIN), a joint development manufacturer of components for micro-medical technology, from 2020 to 2022, and has served on the board of directors of Inogen, Inc. (Nasdaq: INGN), a manufacturer of oxygen therapy technology, since 2014. From 2012 to 2013, Ms. Rider served as Vice President, Global Human Resources of Cymer, Inc., a publicly-traded supplier of light sources for semiconductor manufacturing that was acquired by ASML Holding NV in 2013. From October 2010 to September 2012, Ms. Rider served as Senior Vice President, Global Human Resources of Alphatec Holdings, Inc. (Nasdaq: ATEC), a medical device company focused on surgical treatment of spine disorders, and from 2006 to 2010, she served as Vice President, Human Resources of Intuitive Surgical, Inc. (Nasdaq: ISRG), a manufacturer of robotic surgical systems. From 2001 to 2005, Ms. Rider served as Senior Vice President of Global Human Resources of Sunrise Medical, Inc., a global manufacturer and distributor of durable medical equipment. From 1998 to 2001, Ms. Rider served as Vice President of Human Resources of Biosense Webster, a member of the Johnson & Johnson family of companies, and a medical device manufacturer. Ms. Rider earned her BA from Claremont McKenna College, and her MBA from Pepperdine Graziadio Business School.

Bill Johnson, Director and Chairman of the Audit Committee. Mr. Johnson has served as Director of ProSomnus Sleep Technologies since 2016, including serving as Chairman from 2018 to 2019 and has served as Chairman of the Audit Committee for ProSomnus Sleep Technologies from 2016 to 2018 and 2019 to present, and has been the Managing Director and Chief Financial Officer of HealthpointCapital Management, LLC since 2016. Mr. Johnson served as the Chief Executive Officer of MicroDental, Inc. from 2015 to 2016, and the Chief Financial Officer of MicroDental from 2013 to 2015. Mr. Johnson served as Chief Financial Officer for Harvest Meat from 2012 to 2013, interim Chief Financial Officer for Ryerson Inc. in 2012, Chief Financial Officer for Brinderson Engineers & Construction from 2009 to 2011, Chief Financial Officer of PNA Group in 2008 and SVP of Finance from 2007 to 2008. Earlier in his career, Mr. Johnson worked in a variety of roles at companies responsible for financial reporting and accounting, and began his career at Ernst & Whinney, CPA’s (now Ernst & Young) as an auditor. Mr. Johnson earned BS from Indiana University, Kelley School of Business, and his MBA with a concentration in Finance from Mercer University, Stetson School of Business. He is a Certified Public Accountant and a Certified Financial Planner. 

Steven PacelliDirector, Chairman of the Nomination and Corporate Governance Committee and member of the Audit Committee. Mr. Pacelli has held a variety of roles at Dexcom Ventures, including Executive Vice President and Managing Director since 2021, Executive Vice President of Strategy and Corporate Development from 2012 to 2021 and a variety of other roles since 2006. Prior to Dexcom, Steve served as a corporate attorney specializing in finance, mergers and acquisitions, and general corporate matters, and in an executive role as general counsel of several privately held companies. Mr. Pacelli serves on the board of directors of Biocom California, the largest and most experienced leader and advocate for California’s life science sector, and on the boards of directors of several nonprofit organizations and trade groups. Mr. Pacelli earned a BS from the University of California, Los Angeles, and a JD from the University of Virginia. He is a member of the State Bar of California.

Jason OrchardDirector and member of the Audit Committee. Mr. Orchard has been with Spring Mountain Capital (“SMC”), a private investment management firm specializing in alternative asset investing, since 2004 and has served as a Managing Director since 2008. During his time at SMC he has served as Investment Analyst, Chief Financial Officer, and Portfolio Manager. In 2007, he led the firm’s initial efforts into special situation and thematic investments that have become the foundation of the SMC Total Return Fund. Today, he manages the SMC Total Return Fund and serves on the Investment Committee for the SMC’s Total Return Fund, Private Capital Fund, and West Harlem Innovation Fund. Prior to joining SMC in 2004, he was a Senior Analyst for Rutherford Asset Management LLC, which actively managed an $800 million hedge fund of funds portfolio for a private family office. Mr. Orchard has also been associated with Stern Stewart & Company as a Senior Analyst in the Financial Institutions Group and Arthur Andersen, L.L.P. as a Senior Consultant in the Strategy, Finance, and Economics Group. Mr. Orchard graduated with honors from Villanova University with a BS in Finance and is a Chartered Financial Analyst.

Sung Kim

Corporate Director, Founder & CTO

Sung Kim is the Corporate Director, Founder & Chief Technology Officer for ProSomnus® Sleep Technologies. Prior to starting ProSomnus, Sung was Engineering Director of MicroDental Laboratories and was responsible for product and process development projects including the MicrO2® Sleep and Snore Device.

Before MicroDental Laboratories, Sung worked for 3M Company for over 7 years holding several senior level product development and engineering positions and has either authored or co-authored a number of patents related to the dental and orthodontic industries. Sung was a Circle of Technical Excellence Individual Winner in 3M Health Care Business.

Sung holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering from California Polytechnic State University, San Luis Obispo.

Jason Orchard

Corporate Director, CFO

Jason Orchard, CFA is the Chief Financial Officer and has been a board member of ProSomnus Sleep Technologies since 2022.  Mr. Orchard is a Managing Director at Spring Mountain Capital where he has served in both investment and operating roles since joining the firm in 2004, including Chief Financial Officer and Head of Special Situation investments.  Jason has also been associated with Stern Stewart & Company as a Senior Analyst in the Financial Institutions Group and Arthur Andersen, L.L.P. as a Senior Consultant in the Strategy, Finance, and Economics Group.

Mr. Orchard graduated with honors from Villanova University with a B.S. in Finance and holds the Chartered Financial Analyst® designation.

Heather Whalen

Vice President, Global Marketing Services

Heather Whalen is the Vice President of Global Marketing Services for ProSomnus® Sleep Technologies. Prior to joining ProSomnus, Heather was Director of Clinical Education for MicroDental Laboratories and was responsible for all educational activities including management of ADA CERP recognition, sponsorships, affiliations and managing over 100 events per year.

Heather spent over 13 years at MicroDental holding other various management roles leading successful teams in Sales and Customer Service. Previously, Heather worked for San Francisco Bay Area Graphic Design firms in Project Management. Heather holds a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Communication Design from California State University, Chico.

Gregory Vogel

Vice President, Global Dental Sleep Medicine Sales

Gregory Vogel is the Vice President of Global Dental Sleep Medicine Sales for ProSomnus Sleep Technologies. Greg was a founding member of ProSomnus’s Sales Division, joining ProSomnus in 2016. Greg’s first role for ProSomnus was the Northeast Territory Manager, before progressing into the Eastern Area Manager. Prior to ProSomnus, Greg held the role of Education and US Strategic Account Manager for another North American based Oral Appliance Manufacturer. Greg also held a NJ Teacher’s Certification, where he was a Technology Teacher at South Bergen Jointure Commission’s Middle/High school, where he spent five years as a classroom teacher.

Greg studied Sustainability Management at Columbia and Harvard University before earning a Master of Science in Sustainability Management, an interdisciplinary program focusing on sustainability and management in the twenty-first century, from Columbia University in the City of New York. Gregory also holds a Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of South Florida.

Jerry Vogel

Vice President, Government Affairs & CareConnect

Jerry Vogel has 40 years of sales and executive leadership in the medical and dental industry. He specializes in Patient Focused Sleep and Digital Solutions. Jerry was responsible for sales and management in both North and Latin America for Nobel Biocare. He also had leadership roles at Masimo Corporation, Pyxis and Panthera Dental.

Jerry has lectured nationally at many major meetings discussing the practice development formulas for both sleep and digital dentistry. He is the President of the Drew O’Donoghue Fund, a non-profit organization dedicated to research, cures and awareness of rare cancers, particularly ACC. He has been honored as the citizen of the year from his town and the recipient of the volunteer of the year for Bergen County.

Jerry is a sleep apnea patient himself and is committed to helping the millions of CPAP failure and untreated patients. He aspires to identify a pediatric appliance solution to assist children with this epidemic, especially those classified within the Spectrum.

Ricardo dos Santos

Vice President, Business Development

Ricardo is Vice President of Business Development at ProSomnus® Sleep Technologies. Before joining ProSomnus, he served as Chief Strategy Officer at PranaQ, a home sleep testing startup, and as Vice President, Head of New Business Creation at Resmed.

Outside of work, Ricardo advises entrepreneurs in technology and healthcare. He also founded Scientella, a nonprofit dedicated to increasing the representation of young women in STEM careers.

Ricardo holds a BS and MS in Industrial Engineering from LSU and an MBA from the MIT Sloan School of Management.

Dr. Edward T. Sall, MD, DDS, MBA

Medical Director

Dr. Edward T. Sall is Medical Director for ProSomnus® Sleep Technologies. As Medical Director, Dr. Sall focuses on enhancing physician acceptance of Oral Appliance Therapy for patients with Obstructive Sleep Apnea.

He obtained a DDS from Columbia University School of Dental and Oral Surgery in 1980. Due to his interest in facial pain and temporomandibular disorders he decided to return to medical school for additional training. He attended SUNY Upstate Medical Center and received an MD in 1987, followed by a 5-year residency in Otolaryngology/Head and Neck Surgery. Since 1992, Dr. Sall has practiced in Syracuse, New York as an Otolaryngologist and Dentist with an emphasis on TMD, facial pain, general Otolaryngology and the surgical and medical management of sleep disorders. He obtained an MBA from SUNY Binghamton in 2000 with an emphasis in healthcare. Dr. Sall became board certified in Sleep Medicine and has treated over 3,500 patients with Oral Appliance Therapy.

Erin Mosca, PhD

Erin Mosca is the Director of Medical Affairs for ProSomnus Sleep Technologies. Erin has over a decade of experience in the fields of respiratory neurophysiology and sleep medicine. Prior to joining ProSomnus, Erin was the Director of Technology and Regulatory for Zephyr Sleep Technologies. At Zephyr, Erin was involved in design, validation, and regulatory activities for a number of medical devices, including home sleep apnea test and novel auto-titration devices as well as temporary oral appliances and other dental sleep medicine tools. Erin also has experience working in clinical drug trials and as a medical writer in early phase drug development. Erin completed a BSc in Neuroscience at the University of Lethbridge and a PhD in Neuroscience at the University of Calgary.

Dr. Mark T. Murphy, DDS, D-ABDSM, FAASM

Director of Dental Sleep Medicine Education

Dr. Mark Murphy is a Diplomate of both the International Academy of Sleep (IAOS) and the American Board of Dental Sleep Medicine. He started the sleep program at the University of Detroit Mercy school of Dentistry and taught in the DSM program at the Pankey Institute. He lectures internationally on leadership, sleep practice management, and sleep disordered breathing. Dr. Murphy has authored and contributed to numerous articles published in peer-reviewed medical and dental journals. His vast experience and relevant knowledge within the Dental Sleep Medicine industry have developed him into a very respected and successful clinician in this field. He currently is the Executive Director of the IAOS and their Chief Learning Officer.

Shouresh Charkhandeh DDS, BMedSc

Global Scientific Committee Chair

Dr. Shouresh Charkhandeh is the Global Scientific Committee Chair for ProSomnus® Sleep Technologies. Within his role, Dr. Charkhandeh works with leading clinicians around the world to assess and design relevant research to best serve patients suffering from OSA and to answer critical questions clinicians have in case selection amongst many therapies offered for the treatment of OSA.

Dr. Charkhandeh received his Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS) Degree and Bachelor of Medical Sciences from the University of Alberta, Canada. He also earned a fellowship from the International Association of Physiologic Aesthetics.

He then furthered his education and training by completing a Research Fellowship in the area of “Sleep and Dental Sleep Medicine” at the University of Antwerp Hospital (UZA), in Antwerp, Belgium, where he is also currently working on his PhD.

As a well-known and passionate educator, researcher and innovator in dental sleep medicine, Dr. Charkhandeh has lectured at numerous national sleep meetings across the world, such as AASM & AADSM Annual Meetings (USA), CSS Annual Meeting (Canada), iBEDSMA Annual Meeting (Belgium), NVTS Annual Meeting (Netherlands), DGZS Annual Meeting (Germany), SBOE Annual Meeting (Brazil) and many more dental meetings.

He is the recipient of the “2012 & 2015 Clinical Research Award” and “2015 Clinical Excellence Award” from the American Academy of Dental Sleep Medicine.

Dr. Charkhandeh is a general dentist who is actively involved in clinical research in Dental Sleep Medicine and his research focuses on developing new technologies to improve treatment outcome predictability and patient selection in Oral Appliance Therapy for patients with OSA (i.e. Obstructive Sleep Apnea) and improving clinical workflow efficiencies, utilizing different digital technologies.

Mr. Johnson has served as Director of ProSomnus Sleep Technologies since 2016, including serving as Chairman from 2018 to 2019 and has served as Chairman of the Audit Committee for ProSomnus Sleep Technologies from 2016 to 2018 and 2019 to present, and has been the Managing Director and Chief Financial Officer of HealthpointCapital Management, LLC since 2016. Mr. Johnson served as the Chief Executive Officer of MicroDental, Inc. from 2015 to 2016, and the Chief Financial Officer of MicroDental from 2013 to 2015. Mr. Johnson served as Chief Financial Officer for Harvest Meat from 2012 to 2013, interim Chief Financial Officer for Ryerson Inc. in 2012, Chief Financial Officer for Brinderson Engineers & Construction from 2009 to 2011, Chief Financial Officer of PNA Group in 2008 and SVP of Finance from 2007 to 2008. Earlier in his career, Mr. Johnson worked in a variety of roles at companies responsible for financial reporting and accounting, and began his career at Ernst & Whinney, CPA’s (now Ernst & Young) as an auditor. Mr. Johnson earned BS from Indiana University, Kelley School of Business, and his MBA with a concentration in Finance from Mercer University, Stetson School of Business. He is a Certified Public Accountant and a Certified Financial Planner. 

Steven Pacelli

Steven PacelliDirector, Chairman of the Nomination and Corporate Governance Committee and member of the Audit Committee. Mr. Pacelli has held a variety of roles at Dexcom Ventures, including Executive Vice President and Managing Director since 2021, Executive Vice President of Strategy and Corporate Development from 2012 to 2021 and a variety of other roles since 2006. Prior to Dexcom, Steve served as a corporate attorney specializing in finance, mergers and acquisitions, and general corporate matters, and in an executive role as general counsel of several privately held companies. Mr. Pacelli serves on the board of directors of Biocom California, the largest and most experienced leader and advocate for California’s life science sector, and on the boards of directors of several nonprofit organizations and trade groups. Mr. Pacelli earned a BS from the University of California, Los Angeles, and a JD from the University of Virginia. He is a member of the State Bar of California.

Brian Dow

Chief Financial Officer

Brian Dow is the Chief Financial Officer for ProSomnus® Sleep Technologies. Prior to joining ProSomnus in March of 2023, Mr. Dow served as Chief Financial Officer of Agendia N.V., a $60 million molecular diagnostics company, Senior Vice President and Chief Financial Officer of Pulse Biosciences (NASDAQ: PLSE), a development stage medical device company, and Principal Accounting Officer for Pacific Biosciences (NASDAQ: PACB), a commercial stage developer, manufacturer and provider of next generation sequencing instruments. Mr. Dow started his career as a manager with Ernst & Young.

Mr. Dow holds a B.S. in Management from the Georgia Institute of Technology and is recognized as a licensed certified public accountant by the Washington State Board of Accountancy.
