Len Liptak

Co-founder & Chief Executive Officer

Len Liptak is the CEO of ProSomnusĀ® Sleep Technologies. An award-winning executive with expertise growing and operating innovation-oriented businesses, Len is a founding member of ProSomnus, and co-inventor of the company’s flagship product. Len also serves on the company’s Board of Directors.

Prior to starting ProSomnus, Len was President of MicroDental Laboratories, where he led the commercialization of multiple, award-winning, new products, guided business unit operations, and directed the expansion of the company’s digital supply chain. During Len’s tenure, the company grew three times faster than the industry average, expanded gross margins, and set company records for profitability. At MicroDental, Len was named to ExecRank’s list of top executives for privately held companies in 2012 and 2013. In 2016, Len led the sale of MicroDental Laboratories to the Modern Dental Group (HKG:3600).

Len also spent 10 years at 3M Company and Stryker Corporation in strategic business development, business unit management and product development capacities. While at 3M, Len received his Six Sigma accreditation, and was awarded the company’s Golden Step Award, Circle of Technical Excellence Team Award, and Global Sales and Marketing Leadership Award.

Len earned an M.B.A. from the University of Minnesota’s Carlson School of Management and a B.A. from Brown University. A lifelong learner, Len has completed executive education programs at John’s Hopkins, and is a member of the Young President’s Organization (YPO).

Laing Rikkers

Co-founder & Executive Chairman

Laing Rikkers, Executive Chair. Ms. Rikkers has served as Director and Co-founder of ProSomnus Sleep Technologies since 2016, including serving as Chairman from 2016 to 2018 and 2019 to 2021, and Executive Chairman January 2022 to present. Ms. Rikkers has served as Managing Director of HealthpointCapital LLC, a private equity firm and manager of the principal stockholders of ProSomnus, since 2004 and Managing Director of HealthpointCapital Management LLC from 2018 to 2022. Ms. Rikkers served as director of MicroDental Laboratories and BioHorizons Inc., a joint venture with Henry Schein Inc., and as a board observer for multiple growth stage, dental and healthcare companies. She received her BA from Harvard University and her MA degree from Teachers College, Columbia University.

Sung Kim

Co-founder & Chief Technology Officer

Sung Kim is the Chief Technology Officer for ProSomnusĀ® Sleep Technologies. Prior to starting ProSomnus, Sung was Engineering Director of MicroDental Laboratories and was responsible for product and process development projects including the MicrO2Ā® Sleep and Snore Device.

Before MicroDental Laboratories, Sung worked for 3M Company for over 7 years holding several senior level product development and engineering positions and has either authored or co-authored a number of patents related to the dental and orthodontic industries. Sung was a Circle of Technical Excellence Individual Winner in 3M Health Care Business.

Sung holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering from California Polytechnic State University, San Luis Obispo.

Mindy Hungerman

Chief Financial Officer

Mindy Hungerman joined ProSomnus in June 2017.Ā  Prior to joining ProSomnus, Mindy was Vice President of Finance at AMP Printing and The National Food Laboratory.Ā  From 2002 to 2008, she was head of finance and accounting at MicroDental Laboratories, the last three years there, she served as Vice President of Finance.Ā  Mindy has over 20 years’ experience in accounting and finance leadership roles in the software, food and beverage, and dental industries. She worked for Ernst & Young for 4 years and she is a Certified Public Accountant.Ā  Mindy holds a Bachelor of Science Degree in Business from St. Mary’s College in Moraga, CA.

Heather Whalen

Vice President, Marketing Communications

Heather Whalen is the VP, Marketing Communications for ProSomnus Sleep Technologies. Prior to joining ProSomnus, Heather was Director of Clinical Education for MicroDental Laboratories and was responsible for all educational activities including management of ADA CERP recognition, sponsorships, affiliations and managing over 100 events per year.

Heather spent over 13 years at MicroDental holding other various management roles leading successful teams in Sales and Customer Service. Previously, Heather worked for San Francisco Bay Area Graphic Design firms in Project Management. Heather holds a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Communication Design from California State University, Chico.

Dr. Mark T. Murphy, DDS, D-ABDSM

Chief Growth Officer

Mark T. Murphy, DDS, a Diplomate of the American Board of Dental Sleep Medicine is the Lead Faculty for Clinical Education at ProSomnusĀ® Sleep Technologies and the Principal of Funktional Consulting . He also serves on the Adjunct Faculty at the University of Detroit Mercy and oversees the Practice and Financial Management Curriculum at the Pankey Institute. He lectures internationally on Leadership, Practice Management, Communication, Case Acceptance, Planning, Occlusion, TMD and Obstructive Sleep Apnea. Mark has been involved in Sleep Dentistry for over 25 years, is an AADSM member, and has trained with several of the leading sleep dentists and training institutes. He is an informative and entertaining speaker, blending a stand-up style of humor and anecdotes with current evidence-based research that you can take home and use in your practice right away.

Jerry Vogel

Vice President, Strategic Partnerships

Jerry Vogel has 40 years of sales and executive leadership in the medical and dental industry. He specializes in Patient Focused Sleep and Digital Solutions. Jerry was responsible for sales and management in both North and Latin America for Nobel Biocare. He also had leadership roles at Masimo Corporation, Pyxis and Panthera Dental.

Jerry has lectured nationally at many major meetings discussing the practice development formulas for both sleep and digital dentistry. He is the President of the Drew O’Donoghue Fund, a non-profit organization dedicated to research, cures and awareness of rare cancers, particularly ACC. He has been honored as the citizen of the year from his town and the recipient of the volunteer of the year for Bergen County.

Jerry is a sleep apnea patient himself and is committed to helping the millions of CPAP failure and untreated patients. He aspires to identify a pediatric appliance solution to assist children with this epidemic, especially those classified within the Spectrum.

Dr. John E. Remmers, MD

Chief Scientist

Dr. John E. Remmers is a world-renowned expert in the field of snoring and sleep apnea, being the first researcher to elucidate the pathogenesis of sleep apnea and to demonstrate that sleep apnea is caused by an anatomical narrowing of the pharynx.

As a recognized pioneer and innovator in sleep medicine, Dr. Remmers has invented products ranging from portable diagnostic sleep monitors to auto-titrating CPAP devices, including proactive algorithms to automatically adjust CPAP pressure based on patient need.

Dr. Remmers served two terms as the Editor-in-Chief of the Journal of Applied Physiology and has presented honorary research lectures to the American Thoracic Society, the American Physiological Society and American College of Chest Physicians. His research interests relate to the neurobiology of respiratory rhythmogenesis, chemoreception, and the pathophysiology of the control of breathing. Dr. Remmers has published over one hundred peer reviewed publications in the area of respiratory physiology.Ā 

Dr. Remmers is a pulmonologist and professor emeritus of internal medicine at the University of Calgary. Dr. Remmers founded the sleep lab at the Foothills Medical Centre in Calgary in 1984 and is the Chief Scientist of ProSomnusĀ® Sleep Technologies.

Dr. Edward T. Sall, MD, DDS, MBA

Medical Director

Dr. Edward T. Sall is Medical Director for ProSomnusĀ® Sleep Technologies. As Medical Director, Dr. Sall focuses on enhancing physician acceptance of Oral Appliance Therapy for patients with Obstructive Sleep Apnea.

He obtained a DDS from Columbia University School of Dental and Oral Surgery in 1980. Due to his interest in facial pain and temporomandibular disorders he decided to return to medical school for additional training. He attended SUNY Upstate Medical Center and received an MD in 1987, followed by a 5-year residency in Otolaryngology/Head and Neck Surgery. Since 1992, Dr. Sall has practiced in Syracuse, New York as an Otolaryngologist and Dentist with an emphasis on TMD, facial pain, general Otolaryngology and the surgical and medical management of sleep disorders. He obtained an MBA from SUNY Binghamton in 2000 with an emphasis in healthcare. Dr. Sall became board certified in Sleep Medicine and has treated over 3,500 patients with Oral Appliance Therapy.

Dr. Shouresh Charkhandeh, DDS, BMedSc

Global Scientific Committee Chair

Dr. Shouresh Charkhandeh is the Global Scientific Committee Chair for ProSomnusĀ® Sleep Technologies. Within his role, Dr. Charkhandeh works with leading clinicians around the world to assess and design relevant research to best serve patients suffering from OSA and to answer critical questions clinicians have in case selection amongst many therapies offered for the treatment of OSA.

Dr. Charkhandeh received his Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS) Degree and Bachelor of Medical Sciences from the University of Alberta, Canada. He also earned fellowships from International Association of Physiologic Aesthetics & Las Vegas Institute for Advanced Dental Studies.

He then furthered his education and training by completing a Research Fellowship in the area of ā€œSleep and Dental Sleep Medicineā€ at the University of Antwerp Hospital (UZA), in Antwerp, Belgium, where he is also currently working on his PhD.

As a well-known and passionate educator, researcher and innovator in dental sleep medicine, Dr. Charkhandeh has lectured at numerous national sleep meetings across the world, such as AASM & AADSM Annual Meetings (USA), CSS Annual Meeting (Canada), iBEDSMA Annual Meeting (Belgium), NVTS Annual Meeting (Netherlands), DGZS Annual Meeting (Germany), SBOE Annual Meeting (Brazil) and many more dental meetings.

He is the recipient of the ā€œ2012 & 2015 Clinical Research Awardā€ and ā€œ2015 Clinical Excellence Awardā€ from the American Academy of Dental Sleep Medicine.

Dr. Charkhandeh is a general dentist who is actively involved in clinical research in Dental Sleep Medicine and his research focuses on developing new technologies to improve treatment outcome predictability and patient selection in Oral Appliance Therapy for patients with OSA (i.e. Obstructive Sleep Apnea) and improving clinical workflow efficiencies, utilizing different digital technologies.

Erin Mosca

Director of Medical Affairs

Erin Mosca is the Director of Medical Affairs for ProSomnus Sleep Technologies. Erin has over a decade of experience in the fields of respiratory neurophysiology and sleep medicine. Prior to joining ProSomnus, Erin was the Director of Technology and Regulatory for Zephyr Sleep Technologies. At Zephyr, Erin was involved in design, validation, and regulatory activities for a number of medical devices, including home sleep apnea test and novel auto-titration devices as well as temporary oral appliances and other dental sleep medicine tools. Erin also has experience working in clinical drug trials and as a medical writer in early phase drug development. Erin completed a BSc in Neuroscience at the University of Lethbridge and a PhD in Neuroscience at the University of Calgary.

Gregory Vogel

Associate VP, International Business

Gregory Vogel is the Vice President of International Business for ProSomnus Sleep Technologies. Greg was a founding member of ProSomnus’ Sales Division, joining ProSomnus in 2016. Greg’s first role for ProSomnus was the Northeast Territory Manager, before progressing into the Eastern Area Manager.Ā  Prior to ProSomnus, Greg held the role of Education and US Strategic Account Manager for another North American based Oral Appliance Manufacturer.Ā 

Greg also held a NJ Teacher’s Certification, where he was a Technology Teacher at South Bergen Jointure Commission’s Middle/High school, where he spent five years as a classroom teacher.Ā 

Greg studied Sustainability Management at Columbia and Harvard University before earning a Master of Science in Sustainability Management, an interdisciplinary program focusing on sustainability and management in the twenty-first century, from Columbia University in the City of New York. Gregory also holds a Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of South Florida.Ā 

Brandon Woltman

Associate VP, US Sales

Brandon Woltman is the Associate Vice President of United States Sales for ProSomnus Sleep Technologies. As a founding member of ProSomnus’ Sales Division in 2016, Brandon assisted in establishing an elevated culture and exceptional sales team representing strong work ethic, commitment, and passion. Starting as a Customer Service Manager, Brandon has been a trusted consultant in the Dental Sleep Medicine Industry since 2012. Previous roles include Strategic Account Representative, Regional Manager, and Director of National Accounts.

Prior to Brandon’s start in the world of Dental Sleep Medicine, he obtained his Bachelor of Science, Elementary Education Degree from Wayne State College. Brandon was an Elementary Teacher for six years in both Kansas and Texas before taking a position with his first oral appliance company.

Brandon is Co-founder of Kylar’s Riders, a non-profit organization in honor of his late daughter dedicated to support families in the NICU. Brandon exemplifies robust commitment in education, strategic planning, and a desire to improve and save lives through partnerships with Dental Sleep Medicine providers around the world.

Yoann Ojeda

Associate VP, Service Operations

Yoann Ojeda is the Associate Vice President for Service Operations at ProSomnus Sleep Technologies. Yoann was born and raised in France where he studied Corporate Communications, which ultimately led to dental school where he obtained his designation as a Certified Dental Technician (CDT). Passionate about Cosmetic Dentistry and Orthodontics at first, he’s first job turned into a role within the Dental Sleep Medicine industry which became an instant love and passion. After five years working for the European DSM market as a Customer Care Manager, Yoann’s company transferred him to the US to start new ventures and build a dental sleep business for the North American market. Ten years later, Yoann decided to join ProSomnus Sleep Technologies in 2018 and collaborate with the best of the industry. Yoann is always happy to help and always anxious to find solutions for providers and their patients.

Divya Mavalli

Director of Regulatory & Quality

Divya Mavalli is the Director of Regulatory and Quality at ProSomnus Sleep Technologies. Her key role is to support services in Quality and Regulatory.

Prior to working at ProSomnus, Divya has worked for other technology and FDA regulated medical device manufacturing companies. Divya has over 13 years of professional experience in various roles by supporting companies’ crucial business values. Saving and improving lives by keeping quality and compliance in mind is her priority.

Divya has earned an Associate of Arts degree in Computer Science from Ohlone College, a Bachelor of Science degree in Health Sciences from University of South Dakota and has completed professional program in Regulatory Affairs from University of California, Berkeley.

Dayna Montalvo

Director of Human Resources

Dayna Montalvo is the Director of Human Resources for ProSomnus SleepĀ® Technologies. Prior to joining ProSomnus, Dayna was Human Resources for MicroDental Laboratories and was responsible for upholding the Human Resources function in many different capacities from Recruiting, Training & Development, Employee Culture, to Strategic Partnership.

Dayna spent over 16 years at MicroDental from the time of when it was a family-owned company through all of the growth to support 13 dental labs throughout the United States and Canada. Dayna’s first work experience after graduating from Sonoma State University with a BS in Business, Concentration Human Resources and a Minor in Sociology was working in the wine industry for Korbel. This first experience working in manufacturing, has led her to dentistry and ultimately to the medical device industry, where she has been a proud part of building the ProSomnus culture.

Michelle Mathers

Sales Operations Manager

Michelle Mathers is the Sales Operations Manager for ProSomnus Sleep Technologies. Michelle joined ProSomnus in 2017, where she was one of the first few members of the Sales Division. She started as the first Inside Sales Representative growing direct territories and educating clinicians on ProSomnus devices. Michelle then advanced to the Sales Operations Manager role overseeing the operations and enabling the success of the Sales team.

Prior to ProSomnus, Michelle worked for a business management consultant company for 5 years, where she led successful projects that enabled clients to increase company revenue and manage losses with custom programs and customer service measurement. Michelle also worked at a research lab at UC Davis while she was a Resident Advisor in the student dorms for two years mentoring and advising first and second-year students.

Michelle holds a Bachelor of Science degree from the University of California, Davis where she studied Neurobiology, Physiology, and Behavior with a minor in Educational Studies.

John H. Foster

Mr. Foster is a 40-year veteran of private equity investing and a successful entrepreneur/executive. He founded Foster Management Company in 1972, which managed seven private equity funds. Mr. Foster was founder and CEO of most of Foster Management’s portfolio companies including Foster Medical Corporation and NovaCare, Inc. He is HealthpointCapital’s specialist on China: Trustee the Asia Fund, Asian Cultural Council and a Founder/Advisory Board Member of the Asia Society Policy Institute. He was formerly a Board Member of Avon, Inc. and Corning Incorporated, a Trustee of the Asia Society, the Hospital for Special Surgery in New York, the Burke Rehabilitation Hospital, and Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia, on the Dean’s Council at the Harvard School of Public Health, and an Overseer of the Amos Tuck School of Business Administration. Mr. Foster received a B.A. from Williams College and an M.B.A. from Amos Tuck School, Dartmouth.Ā

William "Bill" Johnson

Mr. Johnson is the former CEO and CFO of MicroDental. He has a prior financial executive background in the healthcare, luxury goods, industrial metals, and food distribution industries. His prior multi-location healthcare products experience was with American Hospital Supply Corporation and Abbey Medical (now Apria). Further, Bill has private-equity portfolio company and IPO experience. He is a CPA and holds a MBA in Finance from Mercer University, and a BS in Business/Accounting from Indiana University.

Mortimer "Tim" Berkowitz II

Mr. Berkowitz is President & Managing Director at HealthpointCapital. Mr. Berkowitz has 25 years of private equity investing experience and is a seasoned and successful investment professional. Prior to founding HealthpointCapital in 2002, he had spent more than 20 years in private equity and investment banking. He is Chairman of Alphatec Holdings and OrthoSpace Ltd. Mr. Berkowitz is currently a member of the Board of Directors of BioHorizons, Inc. and Blue Belt Technologies, Inc. He has served as a former Director of Nexa Orthopedics, Inc. and Physician Support Systems, Inc. and is currently a member of the Leadership Council of the Harvard School of Public Health. MD&DI magazine has recognized Mr. Berkowitz as one of the 100 notable people in the medical device industry. He holds an MBA from Columbia University and a BA from Harvard University.

Keith Reinhard

Mr. Reinhard is Chairman Emeritus of DDB Worldwide, which ranks among the world’s largest and most creative advertising agency networks with 200 offices in 90 countries. In 1986 Keith was one of the architects of the advertising industry’s first and only three-way merger, creating Omnicom, which today ranks as one of the world’s largest advertising and marketing services holding company. Concurrent with the creation of Omnicom, Keith accomplished the merger of Doyle Dane Bernbach and Needham Harper Worldwide to create the present network, DDB Worldwide. Under Keith’s fifteen- year tenure as Chairman, CEO, DDB produced award-winning work for a long list of blue-chip clients including Anheuser-Busch, Volkswagen, McDonald’s, Diesel, Philips Electronics and many more. From 2002 to 2010, Keith served as President of Business for Diplomatic Action, Inc., (BDA) a not-for-profit corporation he founded to enlist the U.S. business community in actions aimed at improving the standing of America in the world. In 2010, BDA was chosen by the U.S. Department of State to administer and coordinate the visit of 30 entrepreneurs from Muslim-majority countries to the United States as a part of President Obama’s New Beginning program.

Leslie "Les" Cross

Mr. Cross serves as a member of the Board of Directors, and former Chairman and CEO, of Alphatec Holdings, where he’s been on the Board since March 2011. Previously, Mr. Cross served as DJO Global, where he held several principal executive roles since 1995. From 1990 and 1994, Les held the position of Senior Vice-President of Marketing and Business Development of the Bracing and Support Systems division of Smith & Nephew. He was Managing Director of two different divisions of Smith & Nephew from 1982 to 1990. Mr. Cross earned a diploma in medical technology from Sydney Technical College in Sydney, Australia and studied business at the University of Cape Town in Cape Town, South Africa.

Len M. Hedge

Mr. Hedge served as Senior Vice President of Business Operations at Align Technology Inc. from December 2007 to March 2013. Mr. Hedge focused on the design and implementation of core business processes and cross-functional collaboration to support the Align Technology long-term goals and strategic initiatives. He served as Vice President of Operations of Align Technology Inc. from March 2002 to November 2007 and also served as its Vice President of Manufacturing from January 1999 to March 2002. Since joining Align in 1999 Mr. Hedge helped create Align’s world-class manufacturing technology and processes. He served as Vice President of Operations for Plynetics Express Corporation from December 1996 to December 1998. From October 1991 to December 1996, he served Beckman Instruments Corporation as Manager for Prototype Manufacturing and Process Development. Prior to Beckman, he served 13 years at General Dynamics Corporation with increasing responsibility from Machinist to Manager of Mechanical Fabrication. Mr. Hedge received his B.S. from La Verne University.

Stephen C. Curley

Mr. Curley is a Member at Mintz Levin Cohn Ferris Glovsky and Popeo PC and has advised U.S. and foreign companies on transactional matters, including corporate mergers and acquisitions, debt and equity financings, infrastructure projects, and related tax issues for more than 30 years. For many years, he has advised clients in broad array of segments in the healthcare industry with transactional matters. He is active in many professional organizations, and has served on the boards of numerous charitable and civic groups. While in law school, Mr. Curley served as Articles Editor for The University of Chicago Law Review. Mr. Curley received a JD from the University of Chicago, a BA from Haverford College, and a LLM from New York University.

Mike Mogul

Mike Mogul is President and Managing Director of HealthpointCapital. Prior to Healthpoint, Mike was last President, Chief Executive Officer and Director of DJO Global, a $1 billion firm in the Orthopedic sector owned by Blackstone, and market leading in non-operative segments including Bracing and Physical Therapy equipment. DJO was also the fastest growing firm in Total Joint implants and Consumer Sports Medicine under his leadership. Prior to joining DJO, Mike served as Group President, Orthopaedics for Stryker Corp. managing Stryker’s global orthopaedic businesses, which represented approximately $3 billion in revenue. Additionally, in his 22 years in the musculoskeletal space at Stryker, Mike served as Managing Director of all of Stryker’s divisional segments in Germany, Austria and Switzerland. Mike is Chairman of the Board of Crossroads Extremity Systems and a Board Member of ProSomnus Sleep Technologies. Mike received a Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Colorado and has attended the Advanced Management Program at the Harvard Business School.

Pedram Salimpour, MD

Dr. Salimpour is an Iranian-American physician-scientist, author, professor, entrepreneur and business executive. He is the co-founder of CareNex Health Services, now part of Anthem, Champion Health Enterprises, and Plymouth Health, the latter of which previously owned Alvarado Hospital in San Diego. He has served on numerous boards and is the youngest president in the history of the Los Angeles County Medical Association, a title he has held since 2014. Salimpour is also the first two-time recipient of the American College of Physicians’ Research Award. As a keynote speaker he delivered the commencement address to the University of California, Riverside’s 2008 graduating class and gave the keynote address at the 2012 annual colloquium for the Whitehead Institute at MIT in 2012.

Andrea McCaskey

Andrea McCaskey is Momentum’s Director of Programs. Prior to joining Momentum in 2018, Andrea served as Vice President of Human Resources at BioHorizons Implant Systems, Inc. where she and her team managed all aspects of the Human Resources Department for more than 500 employees worldwide. Prior to joining BioHorizons, she was Vice President, Human Resources at Regions Bank. Andrea received her B.S. in Finance from Tennessee Technological University in Cookeville, TN. In her community work, she serves on the YWCA of Central Alabama Board of Directors as head of the Human Resources committee. Additionally, Andrea was the 2006-2007 president of the Junior League of Birmingham, becoming its first African American president. In 2012, Andrea created Sanctuary, a retreat ministry for women. She is a certified life coach and retreat leader. She is pursuing a MA Theology and Ministry program at Fuller University. Andrea is married to retired Birmingham Police Deputy Chief, Jamal McCaskey. They are the proud parents of two young adults, Brandon and Madison.

Brian Dow

Chief Financial Officer

Brian Dow is the Chief Financial Officer for ProSomnusĀ® Sleep Technologies. Prior to joining ProSomnus in March of 2023, Mr. Dow served as Chief Financial Officer of Agendia N.V., a $60 million molecular diagnostics company, Senior Vice President and Chief Financial Officer of Pulse Biosciences (NASDAQ: PLSE), a development stage medical device company, and Principal Accounting Officer for Pacific Biosciences (NASDAQ: PACB), a commercial stage developer, manufacturer and provider of next generation sequencing instruments. Mr. Dow started his career as a manager with Ernst & Young.

Mr. Dow holds a B.S. in Management from the Georgia Institute of Technology and is recognized as a licensed certified public accountant by the Washington State Board of Accountancy.
